Reminder for Lunch:  You need to have at least one full boat of a fruit and or veggie on your tray with your lunch.  If you take lettuce only, you need two full boats. If you do not have a fruit/veggie on your tray you will need to go back into the kitchen and get one.

Please take all of your sides and your milk  on your tray when you go through. If you come back in the kitchen to grab more sides or milk, you need to go through the register and pay for it.

August 30, 2019 - Today is an A day

We would like to welcome all of our Future Patriots to our Varsity football games at Millard South HS on Thursday night vs. Gretna. Gates will open at 6:00 p.m. Cost is $4. When attending games, please follow these basic rules. Thank you, Mr. Throne.

1.   Middle School students will enter Buell Stadium on the north end.

2.   Students will not be able to bring in backpacks, gym bags or other bags to the game. Leave them at home.

3.   Students who leave the game may not re-enter.

4.   Students will not be allowed to do body painting in the Buell Stadium. This is something that should be done at home or not at all.

5.   Middle School students are expected to sit in the north end middle school section. When in that area, students will need to stay seated. No horseplay or running around will be allowed.

6. Middle school students will not be allowed to hang out on the concourse area by the restrooms or concession stand. 


YEARBOOK STAFF:  Our first meeting is TODAY during 6th hour.  All members will need to attend, including those scheduled in music classes.   Teachers have been sent emails about this meeting in advance. Please report to your 6th-hour class and then come to Switzer’s room.  Please plan on being there the entire period so bring hw to work on if you have any. See you 6th hour :!)

Wolverine Wilds consists of a group of students who represent all three grade levels at Andersen Middle School.  To be a Wolverine Wild you must be a positive representative of the student body and promote leadership skills in an academic and extracurricular settings. A wolverine wild will help create a strong school culture by exemplifying students supporting one another. This includes students involved in all types of activities including academics, athletics, band, orchestra, art etc. Your duties will be creating posters for games or concerts, celebrating student successes throughout the school, selecting “themes” for athletic events and much, much more! If you have an outgoing personality and are a responsible student with a positive attitude, you would fit in as a WOLVERINE WILD!

August 28, 2019 - Today is an A day

Intramural vb-  Any person interested in signing up for intramural volleyball see Mr. Eastridge starting today before school in room 303.  We will get you signed up. 1st practice is Thursday Sept. 5 plan rides for 3:45. Bring all items you are taking home with you down to the lockers.  ?’s see Mr. Eastridge. Cost is $25.


YEARBOOK STAFF:  Our first meeting is this Friday (Aug. 30) during 6th hour.  All members will need to attend, including those scheduled in music classes.   Teachers have been sent emails about this meeting in advance. Please report to your 6th-hour class and then come to Switzer’s room.  Please plan on being there the entire period so bring hw to work on if you have any. See you on Friday! :)


Photography Club:  The first Photography Club meeting of the year will be held on Thursday, August 29.  Please plan to meet from 3:05 - 3:35 in Room 105. Bring your charged phones/cameras.  After a short informational meeting we will head outside to take some photos. See Mrs. Friesen with any questions.

Wolverine Wilds consists of a group of students who represent all three grade levels at Andersen Middle School.  To be a Wolverine Wild you must be a positive representative of the student body and promote leadership skills in an academic and extracurricular settings. A wolverine wild will help create a strong school culture by exemplifying students supporting one another. This includes students involved in all types of activities including academics, athletics, band, orchestra, art etc. Your duties will be creating posters for games or concerts, celebrating student successes throughout the school, selecting “themes” for athletic events and much, much more! If you have an outgoing personality and are a responsible student with a positive attitude, you would fit in as a WOLVERINE WILD!

Do you love JAZZ? Are you good at playing your instrument and want to get better?!

The AMS Jazz Band audition materials are available in the band room. ALL AMS students are invited to audition if you play the following instruments: saxophone, trumpet, trombone, piano, bass, guitar, and trap set. Jazz Band will rehearse Tuesday and Thursday mornings from 7:00-7:30 in the band room.

Auditions are the week of September 3rd. Sign up in the band/orchestra hallway.

We would like to welcome all of our Future Patriots to our Varsity football games at Millard South HS on Thursday night vs. Gretna. Gates will open at 6:00 p.m. Cost is $4. When attending games, please follow these basic rules. Thank you, Mr. Throne.

1.   Middle School students will enter Buell Stadium on the north end.

2.   Students will not be able to bring in backpacks, gym bags or other bags to the game. Leave them at home.

3.   Students who leave the game may not re-enter.

4.   Students will not be allowed to do body painting in the Buell Stadium. This is something that should be done at home or not at all.

5.   Middle School students are expected to sit in the north end middle school section. When in that area, students will need to stay seated. No horseplay or running around will be allowed.

6. Middle school students will not be allowed to hang out on the concourse area by the restrooms or concession stand.

Cleats (if you have them), shorts, t-shirt.  You will only be allowed to participate if you have online registration and your physical on file.  Players without those two items will have to wait until they are turned in before they can practice.  We will be done at 4:45, so make sure your rides are ready then.
